I just realized the only thing I've posted this January is Sunday Postcard Art entries - that is not all I've been up to! A recap of January... I've worked on some canvases such as this one - trying to use some of the ideas from my ICAD work this year on a larger format.
I've done some journal work.
And more journal work...
And I've joined an online class called Wanderlust 2017. You can find all of the details Here
It's an all-year class, with one class uploaded every week. There are lots of different teachers, and so far I've been very impressed with the class set up and the art work demonstrated. The first class was all about creating a 'statement' about what you hope to achieve in 2017. Here is the page I made, loosely based on the instructor's video. The other great thing about this class is they definitely are not encouraging a step by step process where you learn to make 'this' or 'that' work - it's all technique based, and they constantly encourage the students to apply the techniques to their own style.
The next page is not from a 'class' per se, but an 'activity' within the course. The challenge was to create a page from the prompt 'I am ready for...". And oh boy, I'm ready for some hope, peace and love for the world.
This is a scheduled post from January 28 - I'm too busy during the week to be posting anything, but I'll be grabbing a minute here and five there to create something that I'll share in February.
