This week, the theme at Sunday Postcard Art is 'Sepia', that beautiful brownish old time photo tint, originally made from the ink of the cuttlefish. I didn't have any sepia images at hand, and my walnut ink is packed up somewhere in my 'move', so I found a black and white image in a magazine and gave it a glaze with burnt umber acrylic, which gave me the look I was hoping for. In addition, I found som other patterns in a related colour scheme from a different magazine ad, along with the word. And I love sepia and red, so I added some accents with red acrylics paint and red washi tape. All in all, I was pleased with my improvised sepia card.
Don't forget to visit Sunday Postcard Art to see the other sepia cards, and maybe make something sepia yourself!
