This week, the theme at Sunday Postcard Art is Poetry. As luck would have it, my maternal grandmother, Lyllian D. Cole was a poet. I have chosen to use one of her haikus for my card this week.

hugs colde stone wall, weeps racemes...
I really enjoyed looking through my grandma's poems for this challenge. She wrote mostly 'slice of life' poetry, some funny, some very serious on themes as broad as nature, hunting, farm life and famine. She was published in many amateur poetry publications and enjoyed seeing her work in print and winning cash prizes once in awhile.
