Well, I missed posting for Sunday Postcard Art this week. I started 2017 determined to play in the challenge each week and I fell short by a handful of cards (although there are a few weeks to go still). But I did manage to make a birthday card. I always try to make something special for fellow artists.
I threw some collage, some acrylic paint, some washi tape, some pencil, some white pen and a hand card stamp on this one (a vintage ‘lotto’ card was my substrate). Everything but the kitchen sink. Oh and a bit of London map and German scrap for good measure. I mounted it on a black greeting card and I struggled a bit figuring out which way to orient it.
WoW, Cindy, talk about color. This is absolutely breathtaking. Now I see why you liked the circles I made on the Paintstiks. BTW, I think you are right about the paper (cardstock) being too thick. It never occurred to me that might be the problem. I really like how you carried the blue in a "triangle" around the page. That was super composition.
On a sad (and blatantly difficult to admit) note, I have your tip-in, but your gift has yet to be made. Also, I've not finished your birthday gift, either. Talk about being behind. What can I say? I spend way too much time trying to get my keyboard to work!
