Again, a month has flown by. Besides participating in the Sunday Postcard Art weekly challenge, I've been busy doing a few other things.
First up, a rather bright journal page. This started out with leftover paint from other projects.
Next was another journal page. One of the challenges in the Wanderlust class I've been taking online was about taking one shape and using it over and over using different materials and sizes. Of course I chose 'circle' as my shape.
I also completed three canvases in the February / March timeframe that are currently on display at the local "Look Show" sponsored by the Victoria Arts Council. I tried to bring some of the motifs and techniques I've been using in my smaller workers onto a larger canvas.
First is called Art Postale due to the use of postage stamps.
Next is called "Negotiations of the Heart", because of the words I picked from an old typing book.
Last but not least (my favourite of the three) is "Who's Pulling the Strings?".
For something completely different, I made this wispy flower on a postcard with watercolour paints that I rarely use.
I made a couple of abstract postcards with acrylics.
And I worked on some more journal pages.
And this one I'm not sure is quite done.
And last but not least - one more postcard.
I hope you've enjoyed the March roundup! I'd like to say I'll post more regularly in April, but it's probably not true. I am trying to participate in Sunday Postcard Art every week at least so I don't fall off the map entirely!
