this week’s challenge at Sunday Postcard Art is to add a ‘touch of gold’ to our postcard - no other theme. I seem to be working a lot with orange and blue lately so I made mine an abstract in those colours. I added gold German scrap and three little gold star sequins for my ‘touch of gold’. This the season, so I added a few words from White Christmas using a vintage rub-on alphabet sheet. I was interested to see that the graphite already on the card resisted the rub-on lettering.
As a west coaster, I am more likely to have a green Christmas, and that’s fine with me!
love this Cindy!

Oh Cindy, this is a beautiful representation of gold. I love the German scrap stars, the blue, and the doodles, too! It's a great entry, and of course, I simply adore the background. I had no idea the background would resist the rubbings. That's something new for me, but I don't really have a lot of rub-ons.
Just to let you know, I finally created a little something something for your Christmas. Not what I had planned, but what I had time to make. If I get it finished today, it will be in the mail tomorrow. probably not in time for a green Christmas, but I tried.

Just to let you know, I stood in line at the PO today because my scales are a bit hinky. At least I know your tip-in is on the way to you, although the PO clerk felt it would not get to you by Christmas.

I just saw the comment you left about the soaps. That was a page I cut from an Anthropologie catalog. Their photographs are to die for. They DO look like real soaps sitting on my altered book page, don't they?
Merry Christmas, dear friend.
