This week’s theme for Sunday Postcard Art is Tears of a Clown. I took it on a bit of a different direction…
Now, last week’s them was to pay homage to the wonderfully talented Gustav Klimt. I got pretty frustrated with my card and between everything else that goes on during a typical week I didn’t finish it until today. Still not happy with it but I finished it!

This week is the penultimate week for ICAD - wow that went fast!
Starting with Day 49, which wrapped up that three day “mini series” started last week. The black and white design is a photocopy of some of my doodles I’ve been doing recently exploring various patterns. You’ll see more of these as we go along this week.
Day 50 - more photocopied doodles, and a connection to card 51…
Day 51 - the connection is this is the lower part of the same face used for card 50.
Day 52 marks the beginning of another three-day miniseries - the common element here being the lovely lady pictured here, who for many years was the muse of ARTchix Studio.

Then I almost started a creepy doll series, but I scared myself (haha) so card 39 stands on its own.
Day 40 is probably my favourite this week and might be my favourite so far.

Wow, another week has flown by. We survived a heat wave here in the Pacific Northwest this week and let me tell you it is not my thing! Temperatures topped out at around 105 F / 41 C and since most people (including me) don’t have AC in their homes, the inside temps rose to almost that. We are back to normal now thank goodness.
Starting with Day 28: A few people said they see watermelon in this card - I see it too now!
Day 29 - Climate change was definitely on my mind this day during the heat wave.
Day 30 - I was grateful to be off work this week.

This week’s theme for Sunday Postcard Art is Detectives. I didn’t have a CLUE what to do (see what I did there - haha), until I thought about Sherlock Holmes’ famous profile. I drew this out based on some clip art I found online and cut it out to create a mask. I used my gelli plate to create the main image. I really love the way it turned out.
