This week’s theme for Sunday Postcard Art is Old Office - what a fun theme!
I chose to use some images and typing exercises from an old typing book that I mostly use for gelli prints.
This guy is referred to as a “champion typist” in the book. I wonder if there is still such a competition?
When I learned to type many years ago we used a book much like this. I can remember in high school typing to music and everyone hitting the carriage return at the same time - ding! When I went to “secretarial school” (yes there was such a thing!) we started on an old manual typewriter and had to achieve a certain typing speed before we could graduate to using an electric typewriter. Of course there were no computers!
Thanks so much for joining me today.
I love your picture, But it brings back many unpleasant memories...lol Awesome card. Have a wonderful week.

Wow, Cindy. That is amazing and shows how much technology has changed in the past few years. I love this image and words from the textbook you used to create this fun postcard.

Our stories match!!! Secretarial school, manual typewriter, typing speed, electric typewriter, etc. But hey, we can type like a hot darn using all 10 fingers!!!!
